Camera and TriPod
A tripod is a three-legged camera stand that stabilizes your shot. Using the tripod can help you get higher quality results in either video or photographs. There are many different types of tripods, but most of them attach to the camera in the same way.
Every camera is different, but this is the Lumix FZ2000 Bridge camera. This is my personal camera which I use for all my videography projects. It is very versatile and great for any level of experience. I learned all I needed to know from this camera, and I am still learning to this day.
On the bottom of this camera, there is a small hole/screw thread. These will usually be 1/4 inch in diameter. If your camera isn't tripod-capable, you will be unable to mount it to a tripod. Most small cameras have 1/4-20 UNC threads. However, some larger, professional cameras may have 3/8-16 UNC threads.
Setting up your Camera and TriPod
Step 1
You would need to have your camera ready. For example, ensure a fully charged battery and an appropriate SD card is already installed.
Step 2
Remove the platform off the top of the TriPod and relax the screw. Set up the TriPod to how you want it.
Step 3
Attach the platform via the screw and 1/4 thread to the camera. Don't screw too tightly because it may snap, and you will not be able to get it out easily again.
Step 4
Carefully slot the platform and camera into position on top of the TriPod. Make sure it is secure before you let go.
